Our campsite is perfectly situated in the Hümmling region, directly on the Hümmling Pilgrims' Trail, the Megalithic Route, and the Lower Saxony Mill Route. Here, you have the opportunity to explore many charming destinations in the immediate vicinity. The Hümmling is centrally located between the fenland region and neighboring East Frisia, as well as the Oldenburg Münsterland with its impressive Thülsfeld Reservoir and the Saterland. The Hase Valley, the Ems region, and our neighbors in the Netherlands are also just a short trip away. Clemenswerth Castle in Sögel
The castle is one of the most remarkable cultural monuments in Northern Germany and the only remaining star-shaped avenue layout in the world. Eight avenues of linden trees lead to the central point, the hunting lodge. This magnificent building is surrounded by eight pavilions, including the castle chapel with its Capuchin monastery, which is still active today.

Theikenmeer: Hiking trail & nature and geopark station in Werlte
The accessible exhibition at the nature park station, entitled "Nature-Time-Human," appeals to various age groups with its interactive exhibits and invites visitors on a journey through the history of the "free Hümmling" region. On the adjacent outdoor area, a circular hiking trail, the "Theikenmeer Loop," brings the information to life. From an observation tower and various viewing platforms, nature enthusiasts gain unique perspectives on the Theikenmeer lake and the significance of the nature reserve.

At Springmaus, you can play and romp around on over 2300m²! You can test your skills on one of the many play structures in the Springmaus indoor play area. For the very youngest, there's a special area where they can slide, crawl, or romp around in the ball pit to their heart's content.
